The Custom Coat of Arms of a Wild Game Restaurant in Austria
Introduction
Welcome to my exhibition of the prestigious wild game restaurant custom coat of arms. As a heraldic artist, my goal is to provide designs that capture the core and values of a company. Therefore, this coat of arms is a special emblem of the character, history, and gastronomic excellence of the restaurant.
Coat of Arms Characteristics
Shield
The head of a silver boar, faced left, represents the restaurant’s commitment to game foods and venison, thus taking the stage in the shield. Furthermore, the head of the boar is oriented against a crimson field, signifying bravery and greatness.
Crest
Above the shield, a golden crown denotes the great standards and royal excellence of the restaurant. Moreover, this symbol reinforces the prestige associated with the establishment.
Helmet
A golden knight’s helmet atop the shield stands for valor and protection in upholding culinary customs. Additionally, from the crown and helmet, silver and dark blue mantling flows to represent knowledge, resiliency, and the Renaissance legacy of the design.
Crown
Emphasizing grandeur and the restaurant’s great reputation, the finely crafted golden crown caps everything. As a result, it showcases the high esteem in which the restaurant is held.
Scroll
Under the shield, a golden scroll bearing the motto “Unter dem silbernen Eber” (“Under the silver boar”) rests below, symbolizing the fortitude and protection the restaurant upholds. Consequently, this motto adds a layer of meaning to the coat of arms.
History of Coats of Arms
The coat of arms for this Austrian game restaurant was designed to represent its long-standing custom of presenting premium venison and game meats. Inspired by Renaissance coats of arms, the design sought to communicate the rich legacy and ongoing quality of the institution. Moreover, the signboard, menu, and other visual features of the restaurant clearly show this coat of arms as a mark of its great reputation.
Symbolic Coat of Arms
Every component of the coat of arms is highly symbolic. For instance, the head of the silver boar reflects the emphasis of the restaurant on game and venison; the crimson backdrop emphasizes bravery and dedication to quality. Furthermore, the golden crown and knight’s helmet highlight the excellence, high standards, and conventional values of the restaurant. Thus, the silver and dark blue mantling convey knowledge and the link to Renaissance creativity, showing a combination of history and elegance.
Significance of Coat of Arms
By capturing its history, gastronomic emphasis, and high standards, this coat of arms provides the visual identity of the Austrian game restaurant. Reiterating the restaurant’s commitment to history, quality, and great dining experiences, the heraldic design serves as an emblematic anchor for its brand. In addition, including the coat of arms in several components of the restaurant’s branding helps to deepen the link to its cultural and historical background.
